Abstract The data are intended for use as a general reference to the extent and boundaries of the 2021 New Mexico Precincts. The 2021 precinct boundaries were updated as part of the New Mexico Secretary of State's election boundary project. This July 2026 release has the update of the Sandoval Precincts which includes 165 Districts.

Purpose The data are intended for use as a general reference to the extent and boundaries of the New Mexico Voting Districts/Precincts.

Process Description 2021 New Mexico Voting Precincts were updated with information from County Clerks. The following counties provided GIS shapefiles with precinct updates: Lincoln, Rio Arriba, Roosevelt, Valencia, Lea and Los Alamos counties provided legal descriptions of precinct updates and EDAC updated the previous precinct boundaries based on this information. Additional updates were made in 2024 to change district boundaries to Hidalgo. Again, in 2026, updates were made to district boundaries to Sandoval
