Abstract The Rural Addressing Line File can be used to differentiate road feature types, address ranges and ZIP Codes, and jurisdictional transfers.
Purpose Geocoded Road information to be used by 911 services. In order for others to use the information in the DAC Addressing data base in a geographic information system (GIS) or for other geographic applications, the Community Development Department releases to the public extracts of the data base in the form of Addressing/Line files. Various versions of the Addressing/Line files have been released; previous versions include the 2000 files, 1999 Addressing/Line files.

Feature attribute information has been examined but has not been fully tested for consistency.

Process Step
Process Description files usually are extracted from the field records and maintained by walkin and building inspection applications. Addressing data base by Dona Ana County are open for review during regular hours. However, the DAC Addressing/Line files differ format. The exceptions are the (feature and feature names, address ranges and ZIP Codes, coordinate updates, revised field definitions, etc.) than the previous version.
