Abstract This layer represents boundaries for New Mexico's gross receipts tax districts as identified on the "Gross Receipts Tax Rate Schedule" published by the Taxation and Revenue Department. Initial municipal boundaries acquired from RGIS and based on layers developed by the Earth Data Analysis Center (EDAC) at UNM. TRD revisions have been made by acquiring updated boundaries from data stewards at local jurisdictions. Data is a vector polygon digital data structure taken from the Census Bureau's TIGER/Line Files, 1994, for New Mexico Known issues: This data layer may contain unintended inaccuracies and omissions.

Purpose This layer is intended to help determine the general location of geographic features with relation to the gross receipts tax district in which they reside.

Supplemental Information Gross Receipts Tax Rate Schedule may be viewed at: http://www.tax.newmexico.gov/Forms-and-Publications/Forms/Gross-Receipts/Pages/Home.aspx#Rates.aspx Districts yet to be included are: Lovington Industrial Park (Lea), El Prado Water and Sanitation Districts (Taos), and El Valle de Los Ranchos Water & Sanitation Districts (Taos). Known issues: This data layer may contain unintended inaccuracies and omissions.

Data Set Credit This data set is the product of collaboration between the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department and Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM).
